Your piano is not just a musical instrument; it’s a piece of art that can produce beautiful melodies, inspiring compositions, and timeless memories. To ensure your piano continues to perform at its best, regular piano tuning is essential. Professional piano tuning services are the key to maintaining the instrument’s pitch, tone, and overall playability.
No matter how old or new your piano is, we offer full servicing for your instrument. In-home services can be booked for tunings, regulations, voicings, and any maintenance needs for your acoustic or hybrid piano.
At Amadeus Music, we pride ourselves on the fact that we sell quality musical instruments and not just “new in a box” items. We inspect and go through all our pianos once uncrated. They are checked over with an extensive pre-delivery check to ensure that when the piano arrives at its new home, it’s perfect for the player. This is something we believe in strongly as we sell pianos, not boxes.
When buying a new piano, we offer the following add-on service packages:
3 Year Service Package - $599.00
- A total of 3 tunings (1 per year)
- 3 additional service calls for maintenance needs (tuning excluded)
5 Year Service Package – $899.00

Why Is Piano Tuning Important?
Over time, a piano’s strings naturally stretch and contract due to changes in humidity, temperature, and playing. This can lead to the piano going out of tune. Regular tuning ensures your piano maintains the correct pitch, allowing it to sound harmonious and melodious.
Each note on the piano should have a clear, balanced, and rich tone. Tuning helps in achieving this by ensuring the strings are correctly tensioned and aligned, producing a vibrant and expressive sound.
A well-tuned piano is a pleasure to play. The keys respond more accurately, making it easier for musicians to express their creativity and emotions through their music.
How Often Should You Tune Your Piano?
The frequency of piano tuning depends on several factors, including the piano’s age, usage, and the environment it’s in. However, as a general guideline:
- For home pianos, it’s recommended to have them tuned at least once or twice a year to maintain their sound quality
- Concert pianos used for performances may require tuning before every event or season due to the demands of professional musicians
- Newly purchased pianos or those that have been moved to a different location should be tuned to acclimate to their new environment
Investing in professional piano tuning services is an investment in the longevity and performance of your beloved instrument. Whether you’re a professional pianist, a music enthusiast, or a family looking to nurture musical talents, keeping your piano in perfect harmony through regular tuning will ensure it continues to fill your home with the sweetest melodies for years to come.
